A large observational study (48,000 adults) published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine (BJSM) shows that inactive people were 2.3 times more likely than active people to be hospitalized following a Covid-19 infection, and 1.7 times more likely to enter intensive care.

Being inactive also increases the risk of dying by 2.5 times.
